Drop-In Tutoring – Be A Tutor!

The Drop-In (DI) Tutoring program provides immediate, short-term assistance with popular subjects such as chemistry, physics, math, and biology. This is a great program for students who want help but can’t make a weekly commitment, or who want support but don’t think they’ll need help every week.

This is an accordion element with a series of buttons that open and close related content panels.

I want to be a tutor, but how do I know if I’m qualified?

We look for tutors who’ve received an AB or higher in a course, and who feel they can provide immediate, short-term assistance to our tutees. Our program is very informal, so as long as you feel you have a good grasp on course content you are likely qualified to be a drop-in tutor.

Would I get paid as a drop-in tutor?

No, our Drop-In Tutoring program is currently volunteer-based and follows our organization’s motto: Free. For Students. By Students.

What if I can’t make it to one of my tutoring sessions?

Tutors are expected to attend their shifts regularly, but we understand that there may be times when you’re unable to make it. Our absence policy is simple: we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled session, and we will alter our schedule accordingly to let tutees know of your absence.
